I'm Back

I can't believe I returned from Texas -- where it was in the 90's -- to Maine where it was almost 90 degrees! Now that's global warming at it's best/worst. I'm working hard on getting all of my weddings up on Pictage. It's taking a bit longer because I went away and for that I apologize for the delay. I'll be working non stop these next few weeks to catch up. Thanks for your patience.

The Woodlands

Leslie and Jamie had a perfect summer afternoon for a wedding -- especially if by perfect you mean hot. But we all persevered and sweated our way through the group photos. This was a rowdy group which is just how I like 'em! Can't wait for everyone to see the rest of the photos, but because I'm taking the rest of the week off you're going to have to -- sorry!!! Here's a whole bunch to help you wait.

A Break

I am off Tuesday evening for a much needed mini-vacation. I have been pushing out the work as fast as I can, but it's time for me to take a break and recover for the summer of shooting. Everyone who is waiting for their online galleries please be patient. I promise that getting your wedding photos to you is a priority. But if I don't get away for just a couple of days I think I may go batty. I'll be checking emails and answering calls (you can reach me on my mobile) while I'm away and will be back at my desk the following Tuesday morning. Up next when I return is Leslie and Jamie. Paws in the Park a Success

This year's Paws in the Park event was a resounding success. After last year's dreary weather and unsightly under-construction park pond, I wasn't exactly looking forward to dragging my tired self out of bed for it. But Sunday was a beautiful day, and it was great to see everyone come out to support the Animal Refuge League.

I'll be volunteering my photography services on Sunday at the annual Paws in the Park event in Portland. As you may recall, I did this last year. Hopefully some of the great dogs currently up for adoption will be there for you to meet. Come say hello to me if you are there -- I'll be the tired (I have a wedding Saturday night) pregnant lady with the camera.

FYI the ARL's website hasn't been updated lately because the staff is now splitting their time caring for the over 200 animals seized in Buxton and their regular jobs at the shelter in Westbrook. I was at the ARL Monday for my weekly dog walking session, and there are a bunch of great dogs and cats and other critters. If you are looking for a friend stop in and see who's waiting for you (and give a treat to my buddy, Chance).

Rachel and Kevin were married a couple of weeks ago on a perfect Maine summer day. They are both teachers at the Hyde School where they had their wedding reception. We had an engagement session earlier in the summer and I think it paid off because they were both so comfortable in front of the camera that it almost made my job easy! They have been super patient about seeing their wedding photos, and I didn't want to make them wait any longer. I promise to add more images soon!
