Help Needed

Before I had Henry, I used to walk dogs at the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland. It was a great experience and one I'm looking forward to resuming once Henry is older (no, he can't do that with me). I am still plugged into their volunteer system and just received an email about some of their upcoming events.

June 1st they are having a Kitten Shower (second item) at the ARL. They are trying to gear up for the seasonal influx of kitties by raising money and collecting goods. May 27th through June 30th they are waiving adoption fees on all special needs cats and cats over the age of ten. Cats ages 1-9 will have a special adoption fee of $25. Apparently they have a lot of cats at the shelter, so if you have been thinking of adding a new feline to the family...

They are also in need of any spare blankets or towels that you may have. Now you have an excuse to buy plush new towels -- the animals need your old ones!

So nice of you to post this, Amy!

Thank you so much for coming to see my new studio this afternoon, and for bringing Henry! He's just precious! And thanks for the yummy cookies, too! You're right, they are the bomb! How much will the recipe cost me?!

Thanks, Em. Your studio is AMAZING. You should be beyond proud of creating a gorgeous and inviting space. I wish we could have stayed longer -- babies have such short attention spans. Glad you liked the cookies. I take no credit for the recipe (which is here: http://amysphotonews.blogspot.com/2008/02/new-recipe-for-ultimate-chocolate-chip.html)but was happy for an excuse to make them. Enjoy!
