Congratulations to Meredith and Ryan! They had a beautiful wedding day. The weather was perfection, and everyone had such a great time celebrating with the bride and groom. About two hours before their wedding ceremony the skies opened up and unleashed a most amazing thunderstorm. Trees were bowing down to the ground and wind was whipping the torrential rain and soaking everything. Things did not look so good for this outdoor wedding ceremony. But the clouds cleared just in time to dry off the chairs and get this adorable couple married. There wasn't a dry eye in the audience as we witnessed their personal vows. Then it was time to celebrate! Kristina did an amazing job decorating the reception room -- I think she could go into business as a wedding consultant! I know that they are anxious to see the photos, so here's a little sneak peek.

Karla and Mike

Karla and Mike are getting married this October but were in town last weekend so we took advantage of the weather and hit the beach. We had to deal with packed parking lots, mosquitoes, and the sun but we got some great images. I can't wait to see what we get at their wedding!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all staying cool in this crazy hot weather. I'm photographing Karla and Mike at the beach this afternoon and can't wait for the cooling ocean breeze. Sitting at my computers all day doesn't help me feel any less hot. I've been uploading new images to my website galleries. When you get a chance check out the new e-session images I've posted. I'll be adding new wedding images soon, too.

Tomorrow is Kristina and Jim's wedding. The weatherman says the thunderstorms won't start until the evening -- cross your fingers he's right! I'm super excited to be photographing Kristina and Jim because they are the sweetest couple and we had so much fun when we had their engagement session. As always I'll be posting a couple of images here as soon as I can so check back in a couple of days to see what happens tomorrow...

A Surprise Wedding

I was so honored to be photographing Steph and Brian's surprise wedding. I was in on the secret from the get go -- not that I was aware at all that no one else knew about the wedding! The guests had no idea that there was going to be a wedding that day. They were all invited instead to a fabulous lobster bake at the scenic Greenvale Vineyards in Portsmouth, RI. It was Tall Ships week in Newport which made for an interesting drive into town, but we couldn't complain because the weather was perfect. The bride and groom are just back from their honeymoon -- and I've got no pictures waiting for them! Shame on me. Here are a bunch of my favorites though there are too many to post here. As always, the gallery of all the images will be available on Pictage. They should be available early next week.

While I'm in the middle of peak wedding season here in Maine I can't help but think about all of those newly engaged couples who are just starting their 2008 wedding planning.
